January 2020 is nearly here and we're open again for picking.
Lavender Abbey is famous for its PYO Lavender event. Visitors from all over New Zealand come to our lavender farm to experience the aroma and beauty of lavender.

Every year in January, for the past 8 years, we've hosted a "Pick Your Own Lavender" event at our Dalefield Road property in Carterton. It is a 'don’t miss’ summer weekend event. We throw open the gates of our lifestyle property to give you a chance to pick your own lavender and share in our slice of Provence.
Come and view our lavender growing wild and enjoy a few hours in the sun adoring the incredible aroma. Bring a picnic, rug, sunglasses, sunhat, umbrella for shade and just relax in the lavender field.
You can also purchase our Gold x 2 award-winning lavender pure essential oil and our lavender products. Our 2019 vintage is available to purchase, it's a goodie, winning Gold this year at the NZLGA Supreme Oil Awards 2019!
Our pick your own lavender will be on the 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th of January 2020.
There is a gold coin entry per person and lavender picking is $5 per bunch. Plenty of parking and wheelchair access. EFTPOS available.
